History
On this page I give you a brief explanation about the history on how I ended up in the pigeon sport and how the foundation of the current colony is formed.
At the beginning of the 90’s I kept white show pigeons, and through a stray pigeon and some pigeons from my uncles I rolled into the pigeon sport. The first years on the program races went reasonably well with mostly gotten pigeons, however the urge for even better was present.
In 2005 a new start on a new address was made in Sluis and it was then when i seriously invested in the best pigeons for the one day long distance races that there were to be found at that time.
The year there after in 2006 I won 1st Npo Argenton and in the years that followed there were various beautiful victories in big races.

In 2012 I started gently to participate with a small number of pigeons on some international marathon (zlu) races. In that year I allready won the 8th National Bordeaux Zlu and 1st National St.Vincent Zlu. The pigeon who was responsible for the 1st National St.Vincent Zlu was Rainman, bought as a young bird at BDS Team and raced in Sluis. Rainman was sold after his victory but through a number of children he runs like a red thread through the current colony. After the national victory in 2012 i also decided from 2013 to only take part in the international marathon races anymore and stop with the program races. 2013 was unfortunately a false start due to private circumstances but from 2014 I was there again to compete on the international marathon races.
In 2014 with sport friends AP Overwater and Piet de Vogel I also purchased the Levi which in 2013 won a 1st National St.Vincent Zlu on a very hard race with hot weather and head wind. Levi was a.o. paired up against Rainmans Jewel 105 and a number of children from this couple now play an important role in the current breeding foundation.
A third important foundation pigeon is the New Rainman also bought as a young bird at BDS Team and raced in Sluis. New Rainman won as a yearling a 9th National Agen Zlu. On this race there was a tight West wind and all early pigeons were mainly on the East side of the Netherlands. New Rainman performed it then to be the only one on the west side to classify within the first 10 national. A year later he won the 1st Npo Bergerac in 2015 a race with hot weather and head wind. After Agen 2016 I decided to place New Rainman also on the breeding loft, and the first nice results from this decision are getting visible. In 2018 a 4th Npo Issoudun and 36th National Agen Zlu were obtained by descendants of this cock.
Rainman, New Rainman and Levi now run like a red thread through the colony. There is also invested in the best marathon pigeons that can be found to cross with this foundation. The first years on the international marathon races, the focus was mainly on building a team for the races from Agen till Perpignan. The coming years I will mainly work on building a Barcelona team.
